SOLVING THE MOST CHALLENGING LITERACY NEEDS WILL TAKE ALL OF US!
The 4th annual Literacy and Justice for All Symposium brings together educators and school leaders, community-based practitioners, funders, leaders, and education champions for a comprehensive learning experience that elevates literacy in the classroom and beyond, through sessions that highlight both learning innovation and tested, evidence-based practice.
Featuring in-person workshops, plenary sessions, and networking, the Literacy and Justice for All is a dynamic space and high-impact opportunity to learn, strategize, elevate, and collaborate about literacy at an in-person conference on March 8, 2025, at the Oakland Marriott City Center in downtown Oakland, CA.
Literacy and Justice For All, represents a collective vision for literacy as a driver of social change and transformation, demanding that each of us believe in the ability of every child to THRIVE.
The literacy crisis is solvable. We invite you to submit proposals that help us consider our central question: How do we build a future where every young person is on a path to learn and love to read, and thrive in school and beyond?
We are soliciting proposals for our in-person symposium breakout sessions. All breakout sessions are 60 minutes.
We invite proposals for a variety of breakout sessions covering engaging topics and instructional methods aimed at improving reading success through instruction, site and system leadership, supportive learning environments and improved conditions for learning, and advocacy. We are interested in case studies, practice, and niche angles. Tell us what is working in your classroom, school or district. Is there a specific approach you have embraced that has had a positive impact? We want your proposal to showcase what your community is currently doing to improve literacy instruction.
